Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. Born on 11th November 1966. Doody made her acting debut in the Bond movie, A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989, she played Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was a model when her being approached by a aspiring photographer. Her career has since transformed into commercial modeling. Doody strictly avoided the glamour of thongs, nakedness and nudity when she was modeling. If she came to the director's notice for the role in a James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role on the film A View to a Kill (1985). Doody's name was included in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising actors from 1986. 38. A Prayer for the Dying, starring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was another early film where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading character in the film Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking perhaps her most well-known role ever as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. Doody appeared in the 1991 British miniseries Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The film was based on The Hitler Diaries publication scam. Doody later moved to Hollywood. She was Flannery Charlie Sheen's agent as well as girlfriend in Major League II. She was selected as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. Doody, who had been absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, came back 2003 to play a small role of The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character in a scene during the ceremony for awards. The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was given to her on November 21 in 2018. She also received a star at the Almeria Walk of Fame.
